Prior to joining SHARE, Teresa supported policy strategies for Global Affairs Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada. Teresa co-founded a women’s non-profit, Sisters Across Oceans, which supports Bangali and Bangladeshi women globally through programming and services dedicated to: education and mobility, well-being and confidence; culture and community.

Teresa holds a Master’s degree in Environment Studies from York University and an undergraduate degree where she majored in Public Policy and International Development Studies. At York University, she conducted research related to climate change adaptation, disaster management, gender sensitive approaches and international environmental governance.
