SHARE is excited to announce the appointment of two Co-Chairs to lead its board of directors.
- Vonda Brunsting is the Director of the Global Workers’ Capital Center for Labor and a Just Economy at Harvard Law School. She has been a member of the SHARE Board of Directors since January 2019.;
- Yulena Wan is a Chartered Professional Accountant and works as the Director of Finance and Operations for the Hamilton Community Foundation (HCF). She is a community leader involved in several governance roles and also serves on the board of the National YWCA in Canada.
“SHARE’s work is crucial to ensuring that the real needs of communities, workers and the environment remain at the forefront of the responsible investment conversation,” said Vonda Brunsting, Co-Chair.
“The ability to bring decision-makers together, to help find consensus, to leverage the power of institutional investors by bringing them together to work towards a shared goal is instrumental in ensuring both strong investment returns and a sustainable future.”

“The challenges facing us are complex, and there are no easy answers,” said Yulena Wan, Co-Chair. “The SHARE team – both the governing board as well as the staff team – are focused on finding a way for investors, trustees, managers and issuers to work collectively to address these challenges.”
The SHARE board thanks outgoing Co-Chair Colette Murphy, who served on the SHARE board since 2014 for her exceptional service and leadership in the work of responsible investment and building a sustainable, inclusive and productive economy.
“I am extremely proud of all that SHARE has achieved in the past decade, building strong investor coalitions for decent work and other critical issues, and networks to help tackle some of the biggest challenges facing both capital markets and the world at large,” said Murphy.
“Colette led SHARE as a director and later as board co-chair through a time of growth and transition. Under her leadership, our governance matured and our organization’s unique purpose, role and strategy matured as well. Our commitment to good governance now includes term limits for directors, to make space for emerging leaders,” stated Kevin Thomas, SHARE’s Chief Executive Officer.
Additionally, the following individuals were elected to SHARE’s board as Directors:
- Alison Tate – former Director of Economic and Social Policy at the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC)
- Erik Mathiesen: former Executive Officer, Finance / CFO at The United Church of Canada
- Mitchell Anderson: Lead Minister at St. Paul’s United Church and member of the boards at SaskCentral and Affinity Credit Union
