April 19, 2020 – For his work mobilizing investors to advocate for a sustainable economy as CEO of SHARE, Kevin Thomas is being recognized as an industry leader by the 2021 Clean50 Awards.
“Kevin Thomas is growing the investor voice for a sustainable economy,” said Gavin Pitchford, CEO of the Delta Management Group, which organizes the annual Clean50 Awards to recognize individuals or small teams who have done the most to advance the cause of sustainability and clean capitalism in Canada.
Thomas was selected as winner of the Education & Thought Leaders category, just one of 16 honoured with this top spot.
“The 2021 Clean16 are truly the leaders of the leaders in sustainability in Canada. To be selected from amongst such a strong group of peers is truly a testament to the contribution Kevin Thomas has made to helping make Canada more sustainable for all Canadians,” said Pitchford.
Since the last Clean50 Awards, SHARE has engaged more than 160 companies to make substantial commitments on climate change, water stewardship, Indigenous reconciliation, decent work and human rights. SHARE has also led engagement on a just transition to a low-carbon economy, securing full re-deployment for employees who lost jobs in coal-fired plant closures.
