Investing to Address Income Inequality

Join SHARE at a breakfast roundtable for the global launch of the PRI and TIIP publication Income Inequality: A Challenge for Investors on Wednesday, October 24 in Toronto.
The report demonstrates the potential risks of income inequality to investors, particularly to long-term investment performance and the overall stability of societal systems and financial markets. It also offers practical insights on how investors can reasonably begin to contend with such a complex and daunting challenge, focusing on three themes most well-suited for investor action: employee relations and the labour market, corporate tax policies and practices, and CEO compensation.
Presentations at the event will situate the topic in the context of broader changes within capital markets, unpack key findings from the research, and a panel will discuss what actions investors can take to address income inequality in their investment and stewardship policies and practices.
