Value Protection: The Role of Active Ownership in Improving Corporate ESG Practices

Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business, the Shareholder Association for Research and Education (SHARE) and the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) warmly invite you to our speaker event on 27 February 2014, featuring keynote Fiona Reynolds, Managing Director, PRI and an expert responsible investment panel (details below).

With over 1,000 signatories representing over 32 trillion in AUM, the Principles for Responsible Investment is seeing growing investor interest in Active Ownership. What is it and how are PRI signatories putting it into practice? When does it work and when does it fail?

Fiona Reynolds’ address will be followed by panel presentations and discussion with the audience on how active ownership and investor engagement can affect company practices in managing environmental, social and corporate governance issues. A reception will follow.

The event will bring together a wide range of professionals, from pension funds and investment fund managers to academics. Join us for the evening of networking and knowledge exchange.
