International Energy Agency releases “Golden Rules” to mitigate ESG risks from unconventional gas production
The Rules propose principles to address the environmental and social impacts of unconventional gas production and thereby ensure industry’s social license to operate. They underline the importance of full transparency, measuring and monitoring of environmental impacts and engagement with local communities, and propose practices previously endorsed by responsible investors.
